We've recently refurbished our offices, installing insulation
and double-glazing so that they are now more
energy efficient
- We have stopped sending our catalogues in plastic bags and we now print them on recycled paper. We also regularly cleanse our database to ensure we only send catalogues to people that want them. If you want to help us with this, make sure we have accurate details and please recycle your catalogue when you've finished reading it - either by passing it on to a colleague or disposing of it ethically.

- In order to give you the best service we now have brand new computers but we have ensured
that the old ones continue to live on by having their hard drives wiped so they can be re-used in
schools overseas.
- We support various charitable organisations e.g. ASBAH, Oxfam's Liberia Direct Appeal ( Which helps improving standards of teaching in Africa) & previously have supported Cancer Research (you may have received a Send and Give e-card at Christmas).
Uniview has also recently sponsored a team in Race for Life), Fairtrade (see our last Citizenship catalogue where we gave away Fairtrade selection boxes) and Oxfam (wait and see what ethical offers you can find in our new PSHE & Citizenship catalogue). Let us know who you would like us to support next.

- We are ethical in our trading in that we never give our database to other companies.
- Even our web hosting is green! 1&1 is proud to be the first large web host who relies solely on renewable energy. By hosting our site with 1&1, we have chosen an environmentally sound and sustainable future and directly support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions that come from conventional power plants.

- We don't throw away stock - any end-of-line items are sent to charitable organisations, local schools or customers.

- We re-use our
packaging and make
sure all our office
waste is recycled.
- We are actively encouraging our suppliers to provide notes online and use less packaging.
- We promote both national and international awareness raising dates in our event calendar.
