Please input the Special Offer code in the appropriate field when checking out. When your order is received we verify the code and apply the discount to your invoice.
How are your resources selected?
Here at Uniview we independently review all resources for content and subject specific criteria before they go in a catalogue or on the website. So you really can trust all the product information you read.
Tips for using the search function?
The search facility is in the top right corner of every page. If you know the code of the item you are looking for this is the quickest way to find a title. Alternatively, use the title itself, or relevant keywords. There are several titles listed twice or more as they relate to several sections of the site. If you are using the product code from a catalogue, remove the first two letters and enter the numbers into the search field.
Can I use the preview clips from the site in my lessons or add footage to my network?
The preview clips included on our site are only to help customers decide which title is most suitable. All footage and relevant rights remain the property of the copyright holder and website users cannot show, copy, amend or store this footage in any way without prior written permission from the copyright owner. Some of our titles include site licences, but in the majority of cases you would need tocontact us to obtain a site licence.
I have bought a video, can I copy it on to a DVD?
In the majority of cases this is not permitted due to copyright restrictions (read more about copyright issues) and you would need to purchase a DVD version to allow use in this format. However, there are exceptions and in some cases we can authorise this without further payment, or for a nominal fee. We are also happy to offer upgrades to dvd for certain titles so get in touch for details of specific titles for both conversion and upgrades. Please also note our special offer to upgrade Psychology Live titles to dvd.
Why are some of the resources so expensive?
The reason for the high cost of our classic studies is that most of these are imported from the USA and the organisations that own the copyright set the prices in line with the US market. Therefore it is very common for individual titles to sell for in excess of £200 and we have had a hard job over many years persuading them that UK educational institutions do not have the same sort of budget.
It is an ongoing project for us to make these available to UK customers at a reasonable cost and we have had some success, including bringing the cost of Zimbardo's Quiet Rage down from £120 to £75), but we will continue to try and extend this to more titles.
Do you offer a Preview Service?
The answer is no, but we will accept returned items within 14 days that are not suitable for some reason. We do ask that customers contact us before returning an item as it is very helpful for us to receive such valuable customer feedback.
Selected titles have preview clips available in the product information. We are hoping to expand this service throughout the catalogue. Please note that clips featured on our site are for previewing purposes only and are not for use in class.
I have received my order and something is missing - what do I do?
Firstly check the paperwork that was sent with your order to ensure that the missing item has not been back ordered (this sometimes happens if an item is not in stock). If not, you have seven days within receipt of the invoice tocontact us and let us know about the missing item.
I have bought a DVD from you and it is not playing properly, what can I do?
Dvds should be kept in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and if possible, they should be kept in individual storage containers in order to minimise damage. Check if there are any fingerprints, smudges or dirt on the surface of the disc and if so, wipe away with a dry cloth. If there is still a problem with the dvd please contact us and we will either arrange for a return or we will send you a dvd player cleaning disc.
Can I return items?
Please contact us if for any reason you need to return an item. Authorised returns can be made using our FREEPOST address. Any returned orders should be packaged securely and include copies of all relevant paperwork. Please note, however that we are unable to accept returns from overseas orders unless the items are faulty.
Can I be notified about special offers and new titles?

Do you supply subtitled versions of your resources?
Where producers offer a subtitled version this is marked by the relevant title (usually under 'more info'). For most titles we can send the post production script to allow customers to make the audio text available to viewers. This service is free of charge. Pleasecontact us with details of the title you are interested in and we will let you know availability for that resource.
If I am ordering from abroad, how do I convert the price into my currency?
As we ship titles all over the world and the exchange rate varies constantly, please refer to your credit card company for the relevant rates.
If I am ordering from abroad, what format are the films in?
For dvds these are supplied in a variety of formats, but most work across all zones.
Why do I seem to have stopped receiving my Uniview catalogue?

Can I show motion pictures within school?
If you are using it within a lesson to fulfill a requirement within the curriculum, you do not need a licence and it does not matter where you bought it from ,as long as it was purchased from a legitimate source.
However, if you want to show the film outside of a lesson, for example at a PTA event, film club or for an end-of-term treat, you will need a PSV (Public Video Screening) licence. This covers showing films to a non-paying audience. Click here for more information or go to Filmbank to purchase the relevant licence.
