MEET THE TEAM
Francesca Bell
The newest member of the Uniview team, with her first full time position since graduating from her degree
in fashion promotion and marketing at University of Central Lancashire. Although a little different from the background
she graduated in, Francesca is now coming to terms with the complexity of the education market. She is
responsible for the marketing, design and website development for Uniview. Although finds her self with
endless tasks and varying challenges, as every day is different- which keeps her very busy, just the way she
likes it.
Gill Campbell
Three years as a psychology student, two years media experience at the BBC, several years teaching maths
and a working knowledge of computers perfectly fulfilled the criteria in the ad for a post at Uniview back
in 1996. A transitional phase on Gill's CV whilst the children are tiny - or so she thought! Once in, there
was no escape - taking customer orders, acquiring new titles, packing parcels, negotiating contracts,
cake-making, marketing, blowing up computers and kettles - varied is an understatement! Home-life is
just as hectic for Gill, running around after two teenagers, a husband and a puppy!
Barbara Davison
Barbara trained as a PE teacher with music as a subsidiary and worked for a few years in secondary schools,
latterly as the Head of a PE Department. She still does some supply teaching and invigilation at a local
secondary school. Barbara is happily married with three children. In her leisure time Barbara can be found
participating in a variety of sports, including playing tennis for a local tennis team, singing with the Royal
Liverpool Philharmonic choir, amongst other choirs, and playing the violin.
Barbara has worked at Uniview for nine very enjoyable years, having had a wide variety of roles in that time.
Her current role is to review and acquire new titles for Uniview's website and catalogues and order new stock.
Sam Davison
Sam is 22 and has just completed a Graphic Design and Illustration BA(hons). She has worked for Uniview for
several years on a part-time basis, generally helping out with the artistic side of things and has recently
created a beautiful mural for our offices in West Kirby on the Wirral.
Cara Flanagan
Cara Flanagan is the content developer and presenter of our latest production 'Train your Brain' and we look
forward to working with her on future productions. She is a freelance academic author and speaker. After
studying Psychology at Bristol University she taught in secondary schools for nearly 20 years and subsequently
took up a career as an examiner. For the last 20 years she has worked as an examiner for GCSE and A level
Psychology, involved at all levels of the exam process. In this time she has also written or contributed to
over 30 books and guides on Psychology and edited the Routledge Modular Series. Cara regularly speaks at
student conferences and leads INSET courses.

Sue Gollins
Her job title is managing director, but increasingly she finds her role is jack-of-all-trades.
Working in a small company means that every day is different, which is fortunately Sue's idea of an ideal job.
When Sue started working at Uniview in 1996 she was scriptwriting, later moving into acquisitions.
From there it was onwards to productions, catalogue design and IT problem-solving.
In a previous life Sue taught child development courses and worked as a senior nursery manager across the UK,
before giving birth and realising the difference between theory and reality!
Sue is married with two children, a senile dog, a pony and a guinea pig, so life at home is varied too. One day she
hopes to retire to a bookshop somewhere by the sea and watch boats bobbing about in the harbour.
Pete Gosling
Pete is responsible for creating animations such as Billy Budget Buster and the Laugh and Learn icon
(you'll spot these images and many more on the website). Pete says "Looking after Uniview's animated
content is a great job! Over the last few years I have, among other things, made Standard Deviation into
a cartoon character and a brain do star jumps! I am always looking forward to the next challenge."

Lorraine Henderson
Apart from being the fastest tea-maker in the north west Lorraine works in our sales dept answering phone
calls and sending out orders. She has been married for 26 years to Billy and has 4 children, 3 of whom are
married with children of their own. Lorraine has 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 0 months up to 12 years.
Now you know why she is so efficient at getting orders out and answering queries!
Helen Rodgers
Helen graduated from John Moores University studying Graphic Design in 2004 and if that was not enough hard work she then went on to study another years course at Preston University to perfect her skills. Helen is one of the rare Tranmere Rovers supporters we have left, and always attends matches to watch her local team. She also enjoys painting and drawing in her spare time, along with her freelance graphic design work.
Helen works for us here at Uniview on a part time basis and is responsible for re-designing our latest catalogues.
Julia Russell
Julia, who has been teaching psychology for more than 20 years (and still enjoys it), has been associated with Uniview for a number of years, helping to develop several curriculum resources and more recently becoming a consultant and editor of the website Psychology column.
Julia is currently Head of Department at The Queen's School, Chester and has been an examiner for many years, having also been a former Principal Examiner. She is an enthusiastic member of the Association for the Teachingof Psychology for whom she has been a committee member and a journal editor. In her student years, Julia
studied Biology, Psychology and Education at the University of Keele and completed a PhD in animal behaviour at University College, London. She is also a prolific and successful author, having written and co-written 16 textbooks and contributed to student resources such as Psychology Review. For relaxation, Julia enjoys painting and photography and is a keen devotee of side-saddle riding.
Helen Staveley-Taylor
Yes, the founder of Uniview Worldwide is still alive! Helen set up Uniview in 1993 to provide good
value, quality educational films and, although no longer working for the company on a daily basis, she does
occasionally enjoy being let out of the storage cupboard where she now lives to use her brain. Indeed, her
Cognitive Development continues apace, although her Memory, Attention, Perception and Learning are not what
they were when she produced the early Psychology Live programmes. Sadly, although she can still remember her
5th birthday party she has forgotten her many happy years teaching psychology and examining psychology A Level.
Once a year she is easily persuaded out of said cupboard for an outing to the ATP conference. She gets mildly
confused by modern technology but would like us to say that she still has all her own teeth! Her next
production will probably be titled 'Being Insane in Sane Places'.
Alan Stott
Alan is the "money man", having had a career in banking before joining Uniview 10 years ago. Every purchase,
particularly each tea bag, must initially be sent in triplicate for approval then, if the England cricket or
rugby team win, he will normally sanction the request.
Outside Uniview, Alan is a keen Liverpool FC supporter and life-long follower of Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Other interests include golf, swimming, history, gardening, reading, quizzes and watching rugby union.
